One and Only: Bacon Brew & Que

Top Five Reasons to go to the Bacon Brew & Que

October 7th and 8th, the first annual Bacon Brew & Que by New Belgium will indulge our love with bacon and beer at Munny Sokol Park Horse Arena, but have no fear, you won’t be standing next to a tipsy mustang. There are so many reasons to break out of your weekend rut and taste something new at this food and drink festival, but we had to narrow it down to the top five.

  1. Bacon Overload

It is a known fact that bacon might be the closest slice of heaven we will ever get, and this meat lovers festival is going to be overrun with the heavenly cut. Several restaurants have signed up to show off their bacon-themed dishes from Southern Ale House to Hungry Howies. There will be no limit to how far bacon can go.

  1. Tap in

On top of having more bacon for your buck, this foodie festival will be flowing out some incredible state and regional brews. From Trim Tab, Singin’ River, and even northern brews like Boulevard and their sponsor brew New Belgium. You’ll get a taste of what the world of brewing has to offer under one roof.

  1. Two birds, one full belly

The festival won’t just be a one-day event, they have your Friday night, and Saturday plans are taken care of with two days to fill with bacon, sausage, and beer! Friday will feature the Peoples choice for the BBQ with samples and live music from 6-8PM.

Saturday will have all the breweries, and the bacon and live music with college football on the big screens at the arena.

  1. Best way to tailgate

Whether you’re cheering on the Tide, or lost, there will be a large screen playing the game during the event for your college football needs. Should Alabama play Arkansas during that time, roll up your pant legs because the Tide will roll in.

  1. #FallLoosa is here.

After what seemed like a summer on the surface on the sun, these fall temperatures couldn’t be more welcomed, and what better way to enjoy them before the cold creeps its way back then eating some delicious local bacon, and tasting the finest craft brew this country has to offer. The cool weather will be a wonder seasoning to this perfectly cooked slice of a weekend.
